About me

Hello everyone! My name is Grant Coakley,and I am the general music teacher and choir director for West Greene Middle School. I feel so blessed to be a part of the West Greene Middle School family, and to be able to share my love of music with all of my students. To begin, I am a recent graduate of Milligan College in Johnson City, TN. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in K-12 Music Education, as well as a Masters of Education in K-12 Music Education and preK-12 English as a Second Language. I have taught in both the Elizabethton City School District as well as the Johnson City School District. I am both an instrumentalist, as well as a vocalist and have performed in various collegiate vocal/instrumental ensembles, as well as professional ensembles. Some of my hobbies include hunting, fishing, and hiking. I also enjoy attending Broadway shows and concerts from various music styles. I look forward to meeting all of you and growing the music program here at West Greene Middle School.
